El-Rufai Foundation is a non-profit organization established with the primary objective to drive sustainable development across key sectors that impact the well-being of individuals and communities in Nigeria. Through targeted interventions, the Foundation seeks to address pressing societal issues by focusing on strategic areas such as Education, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), agriculture, poverty reduction, empowerment, and healthcare.

Sustainable Development
Goal Focus
The El-Rufai Foundation is committed to addressing key sustainable development goals (SDGs) through strategic interventions. Our focus areas include poverty alleviation, food security, healthcare improvement, quality education, and clean water and sanitation.
Targeted poverty alleviation programs will be implemented, including vocational skills training, micro-enterprise development, and economic empowerment initiatives. Special emphasis will be placed on empowering women and youth, reducing economic dependency, and fostering financial self-reliance in marginalized communities.
The Foundation aims to enhance agricultural productivity by supporting smallholder farmers with modern agricultural techniques, providing access to funding, and improving market linkages. The focus will be on boosting food security and improving the livelihoods of communities heavily reliant on agriculture, particularly in rural regions.
The Foundation will support healthcare initiatives aimed at reducing maternal and child mortality, enhancing access to primary healthcare services, and addressing critical public health challenges. This includes strengthening healthcare infrastructure and increasing access to essential health services in deprived areas where health outcomes are poorest.
The Foundation will support programs aimed at reducing Nigeria's out-of-school children crisis, improving literacy rates, and ensuring access to quality education, especially for underserved and deprived communities. This includes providing infrastructure, learning materials, and capacity-building for teachers to create an inclusive learning environment.
To tackle inadequate Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, the Foundation will focus on improving access to clean water and promoting hygiene practices in schools and communities. This is essential for enhancing public health outcomes and ensuring a healthy environment for children and families in selected rural and urban-poor areas
